02:55 - Bottom player uses a high leg to retain his guard to scissor guard preventing the top player from going side to side. This gives him time to work into a cross overclasp grip on the leg.
02:58 - The top player cannot continue his torreando guard passing from side to side because of the scissor guard and the grip on his leg. He sits back for an inside heel hook. The defender quickly builds height and stacks from cross ashi.
03:01 - Wedging back take attempt to counter cross ashi.
03:03 - From the wedge, the defender straightens his leg and pummels his feet to the inside before standing up to take top position.
03:13 - Low knee shield half guard, the top player takes a cross grip before high stepping out to complete the guard pass to north south. He then uses a half nelson to slow down the bottom player turning into him.
03:17 - The top player jumps over the top to switch sides and take the back. The attacker does not have any hooks and they are both seated.
03:24 - The attacker inserts his hook on the side of the underhook resulting in a high ball ride from the underhook side.
03:48 - From the underhook side, the defender turns to their knees and stands up.
04:03 - From the back, the attacker tries a power half nelson that fails, but he inserts his second hook to complete the back take.
06:49 - The attacker uses a power half nelson and the defender rolls over the other shoulder. The result is they end up on the back on the underhook side.
09:01 - The attacker shoots their strangle arm deep into the armpit before switching to double overhooks. He uses his top arm to make space for his hand to flip out of the armpit and threaten the RNC.
09:10 - Mandible RNC attempt, but it is hard to finish the rotational method from the overhook side. The defender is able to survive the RNC resulting in the overhook side.
10:58 - The attacker is fighting to have an inside body triangle and then hooks the top leg of the defender to prevent them from going to turtle.
11:27 - The attacker has their strangle arm deep in the armpit. They flip it out to threaten a RNC but it fails.

14:38 - The defender uses a 2 on 1 grip to start turning escape. The attacker switches to a kimura grip to maintain the back before transitioning back to a seatbelt on the overhook side to further to prevent the turning escape.
14:44 - The attacker uses a kimura grip to initially slow down the turning escape. He then switches to the overhook side to further slow down the turning escape.
15:56 - From the back, the defender turns to their knees. The attacker initially tries a power half nelson before switching to a seated katagatame. It fails resulting in an escape.
