00:22 - From standing, the overhook player pulls guard trying to enter a leg entanglement. The defender disengages, so the bottom player threatens to wrestle up. The top player then reengages to defend the wrestle up resulting in a shin on shin position from wolverine guard.
00:27 - From a shin on shin wolverine guard, the bottom player is able to enter into irimi ashi.
00:55 - From cross ashi, the defender has their knee line free. He does a great job turning into the attacker to prevent them from climbing his leg to recapture the knee line. The defender is able to escape, but the attacker heists up into an A2 position from mutual ashi.
01:08 - From an A2 Mutual ashi position, the attacker switches to the secondary leg and throws in a reap to enter cross ashi.
01:20 - From cross ashi, the attacker quickly passes the leg over to inside ashi, but he is struggling to get heel exposure for the outside heel hook. The defender is working their secondary leg to the inside and starting to escape.
01:24 - From inside ashi, the defender is able to free his knee to escape. The attacker heists up to take top position and the bottom player is accepting of this.
01:39 - From a low knee shield half guard, the top player is inside camping. The bottom player tries to free their bottom leg, but the top player stuffs it back into a half guard. The bottom player then takes a 2 on 1 grip forcing the top player into an overback grip. It looks as though the bottom player is thinking about entering into deep half guard, so the top player brings his feet close together to prevent the entry. The top player then takes a crossface to enter chest to chest half guard.
01:53 - From a chest to chest half guard, the bottom player uses his straight frame on the hip to elevate the guard passer and re-insert his knee shield.
02:40 - From a knee shield half guard, the top player is inside camping. The bottom player takes an underhook on the far side, so the top player moves his head over the underhook as he takes a crossface. The bottom player starts to elevate with the underhook so the top player drives their knee across to 3-4 mount.
02:51 - From 3-4 mount, the bottom player takes out their underhook as it is now useless. The top player takes the underhook and uses a cross knee cut to get back to 1-4 Guard and pummels his foot out to compete the guard pass to side control.
03:11 - From side control, the top player is threatening to take double underhooks. The bottom player is trying to complete an elbow escape, but the top player uses it as an opportunity to pin the arm with his shin to enter a side crucifix.
04:24 - From pseudo half guard, the bottom player is able to recover to half guard, but the top player is chest to chest.
04:31 - From chest to chest half guard, the bottom player uses his frames on the hip to elevate and recover back to a butterfly guard using a kipping type motion.
04:44 - From a knee shield half guard, the top player is camping before reaching for a collar tie. The bottom player threatens a low leg to force the top player to let go of the collar tie to address the low leg. The bottom player then tries to break the grip on his bottom leg, but the top player is not having it. The bottom player uses the tenseness of the top player to connect to the trail leg and enter RDLR.
04:53 - From RDLR, the bottom player threatens an inversion. The top player is able to backstep to prevent the inversion. He then clears the butterfly hook of the bottom player to enter a high knee shield half guard and begin to inside camp.
05:40 - From a low knee shield half guard, the top player has an overback grip. The bottom player takes an underhook on the far side, so the top player brings their head over the elbow to nullify the underhook. The bottom player is trying to keep their low knee shield with the underhook making it hard for them to use either. The top player takes a straight grip on the near hand while he sprawls on the knee shield, almost baiting the bottom player to take it out. The bottom player frees himself from the straight grip so the top player takes a crossface and settles into chest to chest half guard. Gordon does a great job of nullifying the underhook and controlling the near wrist at the same time.
06:47 - From chest to chest half guard, the bottom player is able to reinsert his knee shield to recover to half guard.
07:03 - From a knee shield half guard, the top player is inside camping. The bottom player brings their knees to their chest to off balance the top player, but then tries to use the knee shield to extend away. To counter the extension, the top player sprawls to smash the knee shield down. He then threatens to pummel his foot out to pass the guard. However, the bottom player denies the pummel so the top player settles into chest to chest half guard.
07:19 - From chest to chest half guard, the bottom player does a great job of not letting the top player take the inside knee position on the near side. The bottom player is able to use a knee lever to recover back to a HQ type position.
07:21 - From HQ, the top player uses a hip switch to threaten the guard pass. The bottom player keeps his knee and elbow connected resulting in an outside camping position at the J-Point with a hip and knee post.
07:50 - The top player is outside camping at the J-Point and the bottom player is putting his foot on his own thigh making it hard for the top player to separate the knee to elbow connection. After a little while, the top player breaks through resulting in a dorsal situation.
07:59 - From reverse mount, the top player backtracks into the legs, entering top cross ashi.
08:42 - From cross ashi with double trouble, the attacker takes a tombstone grip on the primary leg before letting go of the secondary leg. The attacker passes the primary leg over to inside ashi and immediately turns onto his outside hip. The last time they were in inside ashi, the attacker stayed on his inside hip and was not able to get heel exposure. This time he turns to his outside hip before looking for heel exposure.
08:49 - From inside ashi, the attacker is on his outside hip. He uses a hand prop to help him get heel exposure and finish the outside heel hook.
