00:46 - From standing, Elijah threatens an outside single leg and uses it to take an underhook.
01:22 - From standing, Elijah has a collar tie with their left hand. Jozef counters with a slide by and they reset standing. It seems like Jozef likes to counter left hand collar ties with slide bys and right hand collar ties with underhooks.
01:28 - From standing, Elijah shoots in on a single leg and uses it to take an underhook. This same sequence happened early in the match, but this time Jozef takes an overhook and uses the interlock grip to punch in an underhook of his own on the other side resulting in an over under situation from the standing position.
01:33 - From an over under standing situation, Jozef has an underhook on the left side and uses an inside trip to complete the takedown. It seems like when he has an underhook with his left arm, he likes to do an inside trip.
04:03 - From K-Guard, Jozef is able to get his knee inside the hip of Elijah. This effectively means Jozef has beaten the legs of Elijah and now gives Jozef the ability to pressure back into him effectively. Jozef now backsteps and sinks his weight down denying the outside spin. Elijah would like to transition into cross ashi, but Jozef is able to prevent the reaping leg from coming in. He then takes an underhook and tries a cross knee cut to follow up his defense with offense of his own. Elijah is able to deny the knee cut and recover to closed guard.
04:18 - From closed guard, Jozef takes a straight cross shoulder post and stands up. Elijah uses a double ankle sweep to knock Jozef down to a hip, but Elijah is not able to take top position. It results in Jozef opening up the closed guard and re-engaging in half guard.
04:46 - From a low knee shield half guard, Jozef is trying to pummel in an underhook on the far side. Elijah pummels in a butterfly hook and tries to heist. Jozef is able to keep top position and takes advantage of Elijah trying to heist by pummeling in a near side underhook. The result is Jozef has an underhook on one side and a head block on the other while Elijah is playing butterfly guard.
04:53 - From butterfly guard, Jozef is working their high tripod passing and looking to clear butterfly hooks. Elijah is off balancing Jozef and reinserting butterfly hooks. Jozef ends up pummeling in an underhook and switching his head to the other side. Jozef is very good at maintaining this position and it is tiring for Elijah. Jozef is constantly trying to create a situation where he is fighting one lifting leg of Elijah, and Elijah is constantly trying to insert a second butterfly hook so he can lift more effectively.
05:13 - Jozef is in a high tripod position with a near side underhook and a far side head block. Elijah is trying to enter reverse X guard with a scoop grip. This would potentially give Elijah the ability to use a forward shift, compromising Jozef's control over the head and shoulders. However, Jozef pummels his knee over the shin of Elijah to deny the X guard hook. He then uses a cross knee cut to smash Elijah's legs together before pummeling into a shin mount to complete the guard pass. He stays in a shin mount until he can get the underhook on the far side.
05:24 - From a shin mount, Jozef has great control of the hips and shoulders, keeping Elijah flat on the mat. Jozef gets the underhook on the far side and puts Elijah's arm into a state of extension. Now, Jozef advances to mount giving Elijah the ability to turn. Elijah uses an outside elbow escape on the trail leg to recover to a 3-4 mount. However, Jozef is chest to chest with a crossface and an underhook and is in a great position to attack.
05:35 - From 3-4 mount, Elijah turns into Jozef. Jozef uses a chair sit to take the back and opportunistically traps the arm in the process.
05:50 - From the back with the arm trapped on the underhook side, Jozef threatens the strangle with the top arm. He then frees his underhook arm, and while doing so he is pulling up Elijah's elbow before grabbing the wrist. He then locks the full RNC and gets the finish. Jozef does a great job at preventing Elijah from grabbing his strangle arm while he works to get the finish.
