00:01 - When passing a knee shield half guard, traditionally LIMI would use the weave to smash the guard player's legs together. If the guard player flares their knees, this was LIMI's cue to go under the legs and take a scoop grip because it is easy to get the scoop grip up on your shoulder. However, LIMI watched Kenta do the opposite. Kenta used the weave to split the legs apart instead of smashing the legs together. So when the guard player's knee shield was high, Kenta would use the weave until he got his head inside the knee of the guard player. Now that his head takes over the splitting of the legs, Kenta would remove his weave and pressure forward to drive the defender's knee to their armpit to begin inside camping. If the guard player's knee is low, instead of going into a weave, Kenta used a scoop grip on the leg. The goal of the scoop grip was not to bring the leg up on his shoulder, but to apply reaping pressure to the knee shield leg.

00:01 - When trapping arms from the back, we have to use our top leg to trap the arm which means our opponent will go into a turning escape to defend. We will need to use our arms to stop the turning escape so our legs are free to trap the arm. We can do this by either being heavy on the top shoulder or taking the bottom shoulder off the mat.

06:30:38 - Deandre is attacking from cross cross ashi but Zaur has his secondary leg on the hamstring of Deandre. Deandre takes a climbers grip on the knee of Zaur and steps on the secondary leg of Zaur before rotating. The rotation forces Zaur to remove his secondary leg from Deandre's hamstring. As Zaur tries to reinsert it to the hamstring, Deandre grabs the secondary leg and passes it across his body to enter the Tony Montana position. Deandre then turns onto his outside hip to lock his legs in a shoelace sankaku to secure the position and get heel exposure with an inside heel hook on the primary leg. He then locks his hands and gets the inside heel hook finish.
